Abstract/Summary:
Synthetic polyamino acids are biomedical polymers, which are known to be nontoxic, biodegradable, biocompatible and absent of antigenicity. Some kinds of polydepsipeptides can be synthesized by the ring-opening polymerization of morpholine-2,5-dione derivatives easily, it is attractive in biodegradable materials research nowadays.The synthesis and properties of some morpholine-2,5-dione derivatives and its copolymers were studied in the present paper. The following are the details.1.3-methylmorpholine-2,5-dione(MMD) and 3-isobutylmorpholine-2,5-dione were synthesized using excessive triethylamine as acid binding reagent by a revised method. The yields were improved.2. Copolymer of poly(3-methylmorpholine-2,5-dione) and PEG was synthesized with PEG as the initiator.3. Macromolecular prodrug of Puerarin was synthesized with Puerarin as the initiator when reacted with MMD under vacuum at 140℃.4. Macromolecular prodrug of Metronidazole was synthesized with Metronidazole as the initiator when reacted with MMD under vacuum at 140℃.
