Abstract/Summary:
Water is the headstream of life. The sustainable utilization of water is a very important issue. Due to the influences of human activities, the water resources have been decreasing and the pollution have been worsening--- It's threatening human's basic need for water and we're facing serious water environmental problems. Especially in recent years, rivers and lakes in our country were suffering from serious pollution and destruction. Wu Jin Harbor is one of the main entrance rivers of Mei Liang Bay of Tai Lake, it also flows into Zhu Shan Lake through Ya Pu Harbor. Wu Jin harbor is the main passage which is connecting the Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal and Tai Lake. So it is of a great significance to simulate water quality of Wu Jin harbor and to calculate its volume.This paper first concentrates the evaluation on water quality of Wu Jin harbor by odd-gene evaluation method. It found that the collectivity water quality of Wu Jin harbor is in V-kind which means the pollution is characteristic of nitrous nutrition salt and organic material. Then simulate water quality of Wu Jin harbor by QUAL2K water model developed by Environment Protection Agency (EPA). Confirm the model parameters based on the harbor's hydrology and water quality data analysis by using CODMn and NH3-N as the predicted water quality parameters. Both the simulation of water quality of the river and the calculation of its volume are based on the verification of water quality model with the utilization of QUAL2K water model.For the calculation on the water environmental volume of Wu Jin Harbor, this paper will firstly provide a calculation on annual average water environmental volume of CODMn and NH3-N in different reaches, then propose some suggestions and solutions on pollutant prevention of Wu Jin Harbor by considering its practical situation.
