| Global warming has become a growimg threat to survival and development of human being. Since the nineteen eighties, international cooperations in climate change has been enhanced around the world, which promoted the development of greenhouse gas (GHG) emission trading. As the world's largest developing country, China play an active part in GHG emission trading through the clean development mechanism (CDM), but its domestic emission trading market has just started and the construction of legal system for emission trading system has a long way to go. During the process of setting GHG emission trading market, China should learn experiences from other countries and establish a market with Chinese characteristics.This dissertation demonstrates in the following logic sequence. Firstly, the meaning of GHG emission trading was analysed and theoretical foundation to this issue was summarized. Some mature emission trading market was briefly introduced as well. Secondly, the dissertation analysed several aspects of GHG emission trading system, including subject and object of the market, emission rights index distribution system and supervision system. Lastly, based on the analysis of the current situation and disadvantages of domestic GHG emission trading market, the dissertation put forward some suggestions and ideas of construing China's own emission trading market, such as the basic principles of establishing domestic GHG emission trading market, the subject and object of emission trading, as well as how to build a favorable emission rights index distribution system and an impeccable supervision system. |
