The compound materials development and the application, as well as coating development by arc spraying are introduced. The principle and process technology of arc spraying are summarized. The influence of spraying parameters on deposit structure and property are investigated. Otherwise, prepare composite of bond strength in vacuum condition by arc spraying. Microscopic structure are analysed by TEM, SEM, EDS, XRD. Test microhardness and bond strength.The technique that preparation Al-Cu and Al-Fe compound coating by the arc spraying are developed. Carry on the arc spraying separately with an Al wire and a Cu wire or an Al wire and a Fe wire as the arc spraying two-pole. Through the heating, forms the Al-Cu and Al-Fe intermetallic compound. The influence of the different heating temperature to the coating microhardness and the bonding strength has been studied. Initially graspe influence rule of the different heating temperature to the coating organization's forming, the coating microhardness and the bonding strength. Provide the theory foundation for producing special capability materials.Prepare Al-Cu and Al-Fe composite in vacuum condition by arc spraying.Spread the sodium silicate and sprays steel pill on the coating surface.Al-Cu composite are heated to 300℃,400℃,500℃,600℃,700℃,800℃,900℃and last for one hour. And Al-Fe composite are heated to 700℃,1000℃and last for one hour. The research show that formed the Al-Cu intermetallic compound, the anti-pulls bonding strength is12.73MPa. The microhardness rises and then falls with temperature rising. When temperature is 500℃, the microhardness is maximum value 304HV0.2. In the arc spraying Al-Fe composite process, formed the Al-Fe intermetallic compound FeAl and Fe3Al, and after heat treatment Fe3Al and FeAl two phase grow more and lager. Additionally, as the heat treatment temperature rises, Fe3Al and FeAl two phase become much more and more lager.
