The Research On Germany Modern Furniture Style

With the development of more than one hundred years history, Germany modern furniture has its own design style. This thesis studied Germany modern furniture style, its characters, the reasons of its forming and developing by combining Germany social history development and gained the revelation for China modern furniture design. On one hand, the thesis deeply introduced Germany modern furniture style in different period, on the other hand, it deeply analyzed the macroscopic characters and the microcosmic characters ones of Germany modern furniture style. Then it analyzed the contribution factors in the evolving of furniture style. Finally, it analyzed the revelation from Germany modern furniture style for China modern furniture design. The study content as follows:1. From history point of view, this thesis compartmentalized Germany modern function style as Biedermeire style, Jugendstil style, DWb style, Bauhaus style, style of 1940s to 1960s, style of 1960s to 1970s, style of 1980s to now.2. This thesis deeply analyzed the characters of Germany modern furniture style from the macroscopic characters and the microcosmic characters. Macroscopic characters:HumanEngineering is used more in furniture design, high quality, the course of furniture produce and design is environmental, function is important. Microcosmic characters:shape, material, frame.3. It analyzed the reasons of its forming and developing from social history, economy, education and nation characters.4. It analyzed the revelation from Germany modern furniture style for China modern furniture design.
