Effect of simulated acid rain on eco-physiological characteristics of Parakmeria lotungensis, which were planted in plastic shed, were studied in this research in which five groups of simulated acid rain including pH2.0, pH3.0, pH4.0, pH5.0 and an extra controlled pH of 6.0(CK) were designed.Under the stress of simulated acid rain experimental results at first showed that the leaves of Parakmeria lotungensis only appeared large-scale injured spots under the simulated acid rain with low value of pH (pH=2.0), the obvious injured spots in the leaves of Parakmeria lotungensis were not only relate to the acidity of simulated acid rain, but also relate to the time of the stress of simulated acid rain. There were no individual plant died away under the very acerbic condition(pH=2.0) showed that Parakmeria lotungensis could stand in simulated acid rain with low pH. The study results also showed that Parakmeria lotungensis could absorb something that causing acid component in the simulated acid rain that drip on the leavies or drip in the soil, this function may cleanse rainwater and improve the soil condition. The growth of root were be restrained, and the biomass were be recede if the plant were suffer from the stress of simulated acid rain for long, but it had no effect to the root-shoot ratio. A great of metal hydronium were dissolved in the soil when the simulated acid rain keep on eluviate. The more stong acidity of the simulated acid rain, the more aluminium hydronium exist in the soil, when the vast aluminium hydronium were dissolved, it transformed to multiform consisting in the soil. At the same time, a mass of calcium hydronium also be metathesised by H+, and then it were sweept by rainwater, then the aluminum hydronium-calcium hydronium ratio in the soil would increase. When the value exceed 5.0, the root of Parakmeria lotungensis were be poisoned by the alumium noxious. Has the good value of ornamental, Parakmeria lotungensis can be against to simulated acid rain, it can be wonderful trees of morden landscape,ecological landscape in Shenzhen and other cities.
