The design and synthesis of particular structure and good performance are research hotspot in the coordination chemistry, supramolecular chemistry, materials chemistry and crystal engineering field. This is because the coordination polymer contains a wide variety of metal ions and organic and inorganic ligand, with novel beautiful topology structure and unique light, electricity and magnetism, ion exchange and catalyst etc. Therefore, in optical materials, molecular magnetism, fluorescence device materials, heterogeneous catalysis and surface adsorption have enormous application prospect and very exciting and popular. In order to design construct strong and stable molecular skeleton and glowing nature superior slots in polymer as the research target, hydrothermal or solvothermal conditions, choose 2-(2-carboxyphenyl) imidazo [4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline (H2cpip) as carboxylic acid auxiliary ligands respectively with the transition metal ions and transition rare earth metal, construct the success 14 different dimensions of the coordination polymer. And by IR, X-ray single crystal diffraction, elemental analysis, fluorescence and TGA analysis of their test methods were characterized and structure and performance.The first part:firstly introduces the coordination polymers and crystal engineering of the basic concepts and the research background, synthetic method, and application prospect, then summarizes the imidazo and phenanthroline class the research progress of the coordination polymer, finally expounds this thesis research basis, meaning and its results.The second part:through hydrothermally or solvent hot method using 2-(2-carboxyphenyl) imidazo [4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline and transition metal ions (Zn2+, Co2+ and Mn2+) reaction, successful design synthetic out three novel structure of the coordination polymer 1-3. And their crystal structure, metal ion generating the coordination effect of polymer with regulation, additional, brief discussion of complex 1 thermal stability and fluorescence properties has been discussed.The third part:the hydrothermally conditions using 2-(2-carboxyphenyl) imidazo [4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline (which introduced the ligand, carboxylic acid kind of ligands as auxiliary ligands and transition metal ions (Zn2+, Ni2+, Co2+and Mn2+etc.) reaction, got nine structure novel the coordination polymers 4-12. And their crystal structure and complexes 4,5, 8,9 and 12 thermal stability and fluorescence properties have been discussed.The fourth part: the hydrothermally conditions using 2-(2-carboxyphenyl) imidazo [4,5-f]1,10-phenanthroline (Hacpip) as transition metal ions (Zn2+and Co2+) and rare earth metal ion La3+, successful construct the new structure of two different metal polymers 13-14. And discussed in detail the complexes of metal ions in the geometry, at the same time, the coordination configuration of complex 14 to show its properties structure with excellent thermal stability and good luminous properties.
