China is a coal-rich country which production is the highest in the world. Coal will be the main energy sources for China in future, and the demand for coal will increasing ceaselessly. Therefore, efficient and healthy development of coal industry will directly affect sustained economic development of our country. In the process of coal production, there are five natural disaster which is water, fire, gas and coal dust, top tray.coal spontaneous combustion disasters is more prominent disaster. More than 50% of state-owned coal mines have the danger of spontaneous combustion and approximately 70% of mine fire is spontaneous combustion. For the prevention and treatment about spontaneous combustion of coal, the one key way is accurate and timely forecast. Only early to make accurate forecasts, to take effective measures, spontaneous combustion of coal can be avoided and minimize the serious loss.At present, the process of preventing spontaneous combustion of coal faces questions, for example a huge amount of relevant data, the relationship between the complexity of the data, huge workload of manual data management and analysis, waste time and energy which may lead to the lag of prediction and is not conducive to making programs of spontaneous combustion prevention. Most of the existing management information system only manage information simply and is lacking about mining and utilization of information. Mine senior management can not obtain timely forecasts and powerful decision support. Therefore, it is essential to develop management information systems which comprise forecasting and decision support functions in order to taking full advantage of information.With the development of computer technology and extensive application in the coal mine, it is an urgent need to develop management information system about spontaneous combustion in coal mine which comprise forecasting and decision-making function. The paper, design a management information system about coal spontaneous combustion which not only contain the function about information collection, transmission, storage, processing, maintenance and use, but also predict the future and make adjuvant decisions according to current information. Major achievements include the following:1. Design the overall structure of system by analyzing demand about spontaneous combustion in coal mines.2. Research methods and procedures of database design based on a detailed study of the traditional system database.3. In order to expressing detection information of spontaneous combustion intuitively so that we can estimate natural conditions on the fire zone in a period of time. Design analytical function accompanying with time curves of any one or more indicators which is output from the database any time, any where.4. Based on test information of spontaneous combustion. Design five forecasting function.(1) Estimate temperature of coal by simple determine principles of indicator gas(2) Make the fire safety prediction by the amount of occurrence about indicator gas.(3) Estimate stages of spontaneous combustion by fire coefficient(4) Forecast temperature of coal by alkane alkene ratio.(5) Estimate stages of spontaneous combustion by the use of alkanes.Based on five kinds of prediction methods create an improved forecasting method.5. Advance decision-making principles of natural fire management in coal mine, and obtain the initial method of controlling fire by analyzing a group of basic data currently.
