Underground Coal Carrier vehicle is a transportation vehicle which provide motivation by rechargeable battery, quick dump materials, carry mine coal from underground to a particular place.Due to poor working conditions inside the underground tunnel, Coal Carrier vehicle need to turning frequently in the process of job, so Coal Carrier vehicle usually use hydraulic power steering or hydraulic steering. The main consideration of its steering part design are structure size, weight, the stress of the hinged pin, front and back frame bearing stiffness and steering resistance torque changes. In the product development process, the traditional mechanical physical system test, research, product design and development process cycle is long, the development cost a lot of money and time. But the virtual machine mechanical engineering system dynamic simulation technology can greatly improve the situation. In the first, in this paper, I make 848 type underground Coal Carrier vehicle which Surveyed and mapped by coal science research institute of Taiyuan branch as an example. Based on the theory of analyzing the articulated steering mechanism, I established a double oil cylinder symmetric decorate steering mechanism of mathematical model, set turning process steering resistance moment minimum and torque oil cylinder output maximum as optimization target, then make the theoretical calculation of the mechanism's optimization design.Next, I use CAD/CAE product design software UG NX5.0 draft Coal Carrier vehicle's solid modeling of the original state. Then according he theory of optimal design parameters, establishing optimized Coal Carrier vehicle's simplified solid model. In the multi-body dynamic analysis software ADAMS create two virtual prototype model of the same quality on the load, full turn 90°analog level road. Contrast all the steering dynamic parameters, such as four tires start torque, stable torque, each of the forces and hinged place turning radius, etc.Finally, finishing the structure optimization design of dynamic parameters obtained by simulation, according to the data, make finite element analysis for optimization design in UG NX5.0. Analysis the structure of each part of components'stress and deformation size, analysis whether exist stress concentration, optimizing the existence whether reasonable. Through this paper, provides theoretical basis for the optimization design of the Coal Carrier vehicle, meanwhile, save resources greatly and shortened to do mechanical physical system test of time.
