Home wear is a relatively new concept in China. As China's economic development, people's living standards improve, home wear gradually come into people's lives. Besides, the major brands have introduced their home wear products. China is a "home" country as the unit built. The home wear is just a kind of clothes which is wore around the house. Therefore, home wear has a profound meaning to the Chinese people, and it is very significant for the home wear to create a warm and comfortable living environment.The paper discusses China's modern home wear's background and market conditions based on people's lifestyle, living conditions, consumption characteristics and ways of thinking in the modern society, combined with our unique "home" concept of culture of the modern women's clothes at home design rules and design features. The paper also classifies of women's home wear, summed up the main styles and characteristics about the current women's home wear. In the research, the method "from the common to the individual" is used. The rules of home wear design is concluded based on the research of the overall economic situation, culture and family patterns combined with the wearer's dress condition, dress requirements and the special particularity of home wear design. Home wear for women should be practical and comfortable as a precondition to facilitate and adapt to people's home life; home wear for women should be based on the principle of aesthetics and fully consider the dress occasions at home, in order to achieve visual perfection and unity, to create beautiful, harmonious home environment, a warm and comfortable family atmosphere. Home wear for women must be a high quality, multi-category to meet all kinds of activities for the women at home. The design for women home wear should be personalized, diversified and series combination, to fully meet the individual needs of different groups of people.Color, psychology, sociology and health science are used as a theoretical support combined with market research and survey analysis, summarized the color, style, fabric preferences tendency for the women home wear so as to summarize the design method for women's home wear in the fabric choice, rule of color using, profile and structure of the main features and decorative techniques commonly used. At the same time, the current problems in home service brands are also discussed, and the feasible solutions for the problem have been proposed. The current home wear for women should be loose and comfortable home for the premise, combined with the visual aesthetics, the overall situation, family atmosphere, pop and other factors. The home wear should also be functional and innovative structure in design.The practical foundation is concluded for the design of women's home wear by the deeply study of the current market of women home wear, the social structure, the modern lifestyle of women. Then, the view of my own to the current theory for modern women home wear design is raised.
