Compared with traditional honing, power ultrasonic honing is of the advantages such as less honing power, lower honing temperature, higher precision of surface quality, etc,which can solve problems as oil stone jam, unsatisfied working efficiency, etc. Due to the design of power ultrasonic honing equipment will directly affect the vibrating mode during the process of ultrasonic honing, so it is necessary to analyze different equipment.In order to free designers from complex and repeated modeling work and concentrate on heighten equipment performance and improve design, this task is based onΦ150mm power ultrasonic honing equipment made by North University of China, a second-round development was done under the platform of UGNX5 and Visual Studio. Meanwhile, a profound discussion related to parameterize modeling and parameterize system design was included.1. Conducted research and analysis to power ultrasonic honing equipment and defined the necessarily and theory basis of second round development of this equipment; Utilized UG software to establish the three-dimensional model of this equipment and its key parts; Discussed the technology of conducting parameterize mode under UG; Establishment method of parameterize mode multi-accessories which are using the same prt document, setup of independent parameter, conversion between linearity and nonlinear parameter, etc. 2. Research on method of second round development with utilizing UG and Visual Studio C++ and completed a full execution plan of second round development of power ultrasonic honing equipment, the followings are included: option of development environment, system mode division, menu script compile, UIStyler interface design, UGOPEN API application, DLL technology application, connector program compile, environment variable setup and setup of preserved connectors for further development. A completed systematic program is worked out and ?160mm and ?100mm power ultrasonic honing equipment which are developed by this CAD system was presented.3. There are 4 different sound vibrating systems included in the designed system. Through analysis of their free mode, a best plan was chosen.Research of this task will reduce the workload of personals working on designing power ultrasonic as well as enhance the efficiency of second-round development under UG platform.
