With the continuous rapid development of High-tech and industrial modernization, mechanical accessories used under high speed, high temperature, high pressure, over loading and corrosive medium. Since the parts are often damaged the surface, the surface of the partial destruction of the parts has led to failure. Metal surface of the material physical and chemical properties have a decisive on its many important use of performance, such as hardness, abrasion resistance, corrosion resistance, heat resistance and anti-oxidation. Cladding material significantly reduce the cost of products, improve product quality so as to achieve to extend the service life, and save resources and energy purposes.This paper used the vacuum liquid-phase sintering and casting prepared ternary boride based cermets-steel cladding material. It analysed the difference between these two methods, as well as heat treatment on the influence of microstructure prepared by vacuum liquid-phase sintering Mo2FeB2 cermets-steel cladding materials, providing reliable basis for the follow-up practical application of Mo2FeB2 cermets-steel cladding materials.By metallographic observation, micro-hardness testing, SEM and EDS analysis, it studied the vacuum liquid-phase sintering and casting prepared Mo2FeB2 cermets-steel cladding materials on the impact of its interface microstructure and microhardness, and related mechanisms were discussed. Studies have shown that:(1) Preparation Both of liquid-phase sintering in vacuum and casting can prepare Mo2FeB2 cermets-steel cladding materials which interface combine tightly.(2) When the heating rate is set at 6~10℃/ min, and the final sintering temperature is 1240℃, Mo2FeB2 cermets-steel cladding materials have the best structure property;(3) Mo2FeB2 cermets-steel cladding materials, prepared by casting, have the bulkly grain size of interface structure and wild breadth of transition layer. Between the Mo2FeB2 metal-ceramic and steel combine with embedded metallurgical combine;(4) Double normalizing and a normalizing + quenching treatment both can improve the structure of steel of Mo2FeB2 cermets-steel cladding materials prepared by liquid-phase sintering in vacuum, makes the grain of steel finer, increase the microhardness of transition layer and the steel and reduce the width of transition layer.
