For many panel furniture companies, they are lack of a reasonable, more economical drilling pattern for the through-feed drilling machines.The pattern which can be a guide to the drilling process. As a result, the production efficiency of the drilling process is very low. And also the capacity of the machines cannot get to the design standards.This seriously hampered the economic efficiency of companies.The object of this study is the furniture panels, six-row drill machines, and three-row drill machines. Analyzed the adjusting time of the machines, the working time, the work transforming time, and optimized the work transforming time of the six-row drill machines.The main research results are as follows:1. Assorted the adjusting time of the six-row drill machines as five parts, which are basic preparation time, the drill row adjusting time, the drill changing time,the press time, the confirming time of the first piece. And gave every part of the adjusting time the reference value or the mathematical models.2. Assorted the adjusting time of the three-row drill machines as six parts, which are basic preparation time, the drill row adjusting time, the locating time, the drill changing time,the press time, the confirming time of the first piece. And gave every part of the adjusting time the reference value or the mathematical models.3. Divided the furniture panels processed with six-row drill machines into three groups, which are the panels only contain the structure holes, the panels not only contain the structure holes but also contain the system holes, the panels only contain the system holes.4. Reasonably optimized the three panel groups and the proportion of the adjusting time of the machines and the the working time drops from 55.2% to 38.74%.5. Optimized the drilling pattern of the panels only contain the structure holes and the panels not only contain the structure holes but also contain the system holes which processed with six-row drill machines. And the adjusting time of the six-row drill machines droped about 29.79%.
