There are several kinds of defects on heavy plate because of the diversity of thickness and temperature, difference of cooling and phase transformation, non-uniform of residual stress during hot rolling and irrelevant operation during transport and management. These defects usually need to be reduced and improved on the roller leveler which is the main auxiliary facility on the line of hot rolling. With the growing wider development of heavy plate production, users call higher request on the flatness and residual stress after straightening, so designers and manufacturers begin to pay more and more attention to growing scale of machine, high precision of control and quick response. The design mechanism and technology of base theory is the key of core of competence in this field for a long time. Though there are a few manufactories at home can produce the straightening machine, they still lay the lever of analogical design. There is important purpose on improving the competitive power of enterprises to study the heavy hot leveler intensively and research the design mechanism and technology of base theory.This paper has analyzed and researched the straightening technology which bases on comparing the situation of levelers at home and abroad and depend on the project of"Key Technology Research of Heavy Plate Leveler"and the main work was as follows:â‘ Several kinds of straightening concept have been analyzed which affect the quality of plate according to stock board and required precision and the technology of base leveler theory was researched.â‘¡Structural parameters such as roller space, roller diameter, length of roller and so on have been calculated according to the condition of strength and quality.â‘¢Defects of methods to solve curvature integral theory at home and abroad have been analyzed and studied and this model has been resolved in this paper with optimization method and powerful scientific project calculation software which have presented character of steady and speediness.â‘£Flatness of exit, residual stress along the direction of thickness and width have been appraised. Force-power parameters such as the roller force, torque and power of electrical machine have been calculated. Curves of appraising the ability of machines aiming to actual model have been mapped. Technological parameter has been optimized whose objective function is energy consumption and boundary conditions are quality of plate.The research of this paper has revealed the intrinsic principle of straightening of heavy plate and analyzed important parameters which affect the quality of plate. The achievement of this thesis can be used in real work to design roller leveler and setting technological better to a certain degree.
