| As the development of the technology of steel smelting and welding, 30~130 mm thick?plate or especially thick plate was applied to the welding and manufacture in several fields in different degree, such as shipbuilding, petrochemical industry, heavy machinery industry and so on. Auto electro-gas welding appeared in 1980s, a high efficiency metal arc welding processes. In this welding process, the welding bead is shaped in one time; the quality of it is good; the efficiency is higher; the comprehensive cost is lower. As a result, it was used in shipping vertical welding, storage tank vertical welding, metallurgical blast furnace welding and offshore platform deep widely.In electro-gas welding, in order to ensure the quality of it, the welding torch is needed to swing along the direction of board thickness to stir the liquid pool adequately. Therefore, the research about the design and control of the swing system of the auto electro-gas welding is becoming a focus.In allusion to the technics request of ships vertical welding, there are several research approaches in this thesis. Firstly, designed the mechanical transmission equipment of the swing system, which is based on the combination of the transmissions of the bevel gear, the planet gear, the worm wheel and worm and the travel switch, realized the exact amplitude adjustment of the welding torch. Then, designed the welding torch swing control system based on the mechanical transmission: the face-side and back-side controlling circuit grounded on JK trigger and the time delay circuit based on the combined logic gate circuit. As a result, the control and adjustment of the stop location and the delay time of the welding torch became easily and accurately. Finally, carried out the associated simulation and analysis of the swing system using ADAMS and MATLAB and established virtual prototype. The welding result shows that the swing system is sensitive to reaction and easy to control. It can realize the amplitude of the welding torch adjusted exactly, the time controls delaying on the face-side and back-side is accurate. It will acquire the best welding effect of homogeneous penetration in the direction of plate thickness, gain favorable welding quality and satisfy with the technics request of auto electro-gas welding. This system resolved the problems appeared in the process of auto electro-gas welding: the swing of the welding torch isn't easy to control; the quality decreases as a result of the illusive liquid pool for that the head of the torch and the electrical conductive mouth can touch with the wainscot easily. |
