The argon triple point is a required reference point on International Temperature Scale of 1990.It is also Chinese low temperature fixed point. The improvement of argon triple point device in quasi-adiabatic conditions and Investigation of realization is important to temperature transfer and research of fixed point.The issue is one of General Administration of Quality Supervision, inspection and quarantine of the people's Republic of China'Supervision of technical reconstruct projects. It is rebuild of Rh-Fe thermometer standard device in1.2K-24.5K. This task is a part of it. we develop the first argon triple point device for long stem platinum resistance thermometers in quasi–adiabatic conditions in china.The argon triple point device is designed, developed and build up in this issue. first, we explore the process of realization, heat is calculated for the experiment ,summarize a set of reasonable experimental parameters and experimental methods. we establish a complete set of control software, realize the automation of the device. when we know the realization clearly, we do some research on device, such as temperature field measurement, heat leakage measurement, thermometer self-heating measurement, result analysis, comparing with original device.Form the result, we know the triple point plateau is 30h and change 0.2mK in 20h. the accuracy is0.04mK, combined uncertainty is 0.17mK.the vertical temperature field change 0.2mK, 4cm form bottom up. Through the comparison the new device is better than original one. The value is lower 0.32mK than 1998 value, and higher 0.17mK than 2008 value, differences within the allowable range.
