The Development Of Non-pollution Drilling Fluid System For Offshore Drilling

Along with environmental protection request day by day strict, the people also more and more take seriously to the offshore drilling contamination concern. Therefore, develops high quality, and the non-pollution's drilling fluid system, has the vital significance to the marine environmental protection.This paper has established the fast and effective method to assessment the toxicity of the drilling fluid. According to the actual condition of the drilling fluid used at sea, the photobacteria's method is improved and refined. Each kind of drilling fluid system and the component toxicity is analyzed using this method, so we can judge the influence of them on the environment.In view of the offshore drilling to the drilling fluid system's environmental protection request, the research of the non-pollution drilling fluid system for offshore drilling has been conducted. The three kinds of drilling fluid system performance are compared. In contrast, the new maritime high-performance water-based drilling fluid system has excellent suppression of anti-collapse properties, reservoir protection ability, and a lower biological toxicity of drilling fluids. This can minimize the impact on the environment, meeting the sea fast, high-quality, environmentally friendly drilling needs.
