At present, in the country's attention and support, the deep-sea oil and gas development in China have been carried out. The complexity of the deepwater drilling technology also put forward higher request for deep-water drilling equipment configuration. Deep drilling equipment is advanced and the function is strong, but the corresponding cost is very high at the same time. Therefore the equipment's maintenance and maintenance have became the deep drilling big difficulty. In the booming development of mechanical equipment in the diagnosis today, how to keep the deep drilling equipment online monitoring and fault diagnosis is the researching focus of contemporary petroleum science and technology staffs. Just under this topic background, this article have a deeper research from real-time monitoring and fault diagnosis of this six key equipments, including top drive, mast, winch, mud pump, the preventer and vibrating sieve. Consolidate the existing technical status of mechanical fault diagnosis and the situation of the on-site drilling process, proposed to vibration monitoring based, while others, such as oil monitoring, nondestructive testing technology-assisted monitoring tools, to carry out the entire deep-water drilling system monitoring and diagnosis of program development and research. In the reliability analysis of the operation device, using the fault tree analysis method, to analyse the equipment reliability, to find out the most likely equipment frequently or dangerous parts, then we establish the real-time monitoring plan layout combined with the experience of deep drilling equipment. In data processing, on the one hand, use equipment reliability calculation, the intensity and the common fault model to develop the fault recognition. On the other hand, we use vibratory frequency domain analysis, time domain analysis and wavelet transform method, such as neural network to realize fault recognition. Because domestic haven't deep-water drilling precedent, we can only have some corresponding theoretical study and analysis, hoping to have a theoretical guidance role play of deep drilling equipment on-line real-time monitoring and fault diagnosis.
