Numerical control (NC) is the key technology of building up the core force ofequipment manufacturing and its progress. Nowadays, the requirements of the highspeedand high-precision machining have become one of the most important developingdirections, and acceleration/deceleration control is one of the key technologies for thatdevelopment. Keeping a continuous and smooth velocity profile and making the systembe more flexible have a crucial impact on the actual manufacturing. This researchchooses a subject based on the Lantian NC-200 based on Loongson CPU of NationalScience and Technology Major Project, and studies the acceleration/deceleration controlmethod for high-speed and high-precision machining for advanced CNC system.After reading plenty enough correlative literature, the commonacceleration/deceleration control methods and their characteristics, advantages anddisadvantages are analyzed and summarized. Then, a new algorithm which is combinedwith look-ahead technology, filtering and improved linear acceleration/decelerationcontrol method, is proposed, aiming at creating higher efficiency and lesser vibration inthe manufacturing process. Its innovation ideas are as follows: improved linearacceleration/deceleration control method, computable programming displacement,calculation of the round-corner velocity and programming-related data foracceleration/deceleration control process and filtering, method of removing the leavingsof the displacement under the requirement for integral periodicity, and piecewisemoving average filtering method.This new method is simple, fast and flexible; also, it can keep a steadymanufacturing process. The emulation experiment results have shown that, this methodimproves the manufacturing speed along with maintaining a standard manufacturingprecision; and it has a good effect on acceleration/deceleration control process.
