Because our county'energy structure is "small oil, rich coal and shortage of gas" so it decision our county must be taken more development on coal-based chemical industry and energy intensity of industrial. Coal gasification technology is a clean, efficient and effective way to use coal in the coal-gas process. In the process, the H2S of the gas would be taken a bed effects for the equipment and the catalyst. If this part of the H2S discharged into the atmosphere, it would take a great harm to the natural environment. So, in order to protect the environment, keep the product quality, the H2S and other harmful gases must be removed. There are several methods of H2S removal can be chose, such as physical absorption method, chemical absorption method and physical chemical absorption method. Because the gas'flow is large and the sulfur content is high, the physical absorption method is very suitable for it to remove the H2S of the gas. NHD process which belong to physical absorption method, have some advantages with high rate and desulfurization, has been developed rapidly in recent decades.It is seldom reported by using universal simulation software to simulate the whole process of the NHD process. Therefore, if NHD process is simulated and analyzed by simulation software, technology support for existed process revamp and new process development of the NHD process in large scale purification plants can be provided. VMGSim is widely used all over the world now, because it is versatile and powerful. Depending on exact models and scientific calculation methods, VMGSim can simulate the process flow strictly as well as optimize parameters of design and operation.A fertilizer factory used NHD process to remove the H2S of gas from the 90s of the last century. Currently, with the energy, equipment and other cost factors was change, the actual operating point has been a far way with the most economically advantages, especially the energy of renewable tower is too high, there is a large space to optimize. Therefore, base on the power functions and an accurate property date base, this paper emulated the whole process under the actual case, and the result is similar to actual running. According to the full model of the whole process obtained through simulation, this paper analyzed sensitivities under the different NHD feed flow, H2S content and H2O concentrate in NHD, and proposed optimal operating parameters. In order to solved the problems which the regeneration tower's energy is too high, the original process and the regeneration were transformed, and the optimization process was proposed.
