Urban rivers as an important carrier of resources and the environment, is closely related to the city's survival, which serves as a key element to restrict the urban development. With the water environment getting worse and worse, Water environment assessment is more important for water quality and ecological environment. This article is based on the research of present situation of GuanLan river water quality and ecological environment,with SMS software, considering river hydrological conditions and the parameters water quality, to construct water dynamics and water quality model. With application of the models of the Guanlan River water quality analysis and discharge restrictions on emissions, to provide the water quality improvement and the corresponding improvement measures. Finally, based on the concept of ecological restoration of river channels, select ecological damage of GuanLan river,with the present situation of ecological environment , by water supplement project, creating a deep beach shallows, and adding aquatic plants, benthic animals, fish and other ecological restoration measures, to construct various biological structure, and gradually form a stable biological community diversity, establish and improve the river bank with the ecosystem in order to further improve water quality and ecological environment.
