The Research And Application Of Bainitic Electrode For Engineering Materials

Because of welding technology with low cost, simple process, easy to operate and so on. Currently, a new type of bainite surfacing electrode had developed in domestic,its performance was better than traditional welding electrode.This paper studied the different welding technology that 42Cr2Mo bainitic steel, 20Cr1Mo10 steel, 45 steel, and bainitic frog steel were bead welded directly by use of bainite electrode in cold welding conditions, the heat-affected zone , the melt area of microstructure and their properties were analyzed in the bead welding layers .The best welding technology was obtained through the microstructure and the properties in the different welding condition ,the researches could be satisfied the engineering application.The research of the analysis bead welding layers microstructure as well as hardness change have shown that the substrate material did not preheat before surfacing and the post-weld heat treatment did not perform when bainitic welding electrode was used .The welding electrode characterisitics are good ,the electric arc stability is fine,the splash are few,the melting coefficient is big,the removability of slags is good,the welded joint forms is good . At the experimental condition, the bead welding level metal microstructure mainly is the granular bainite. the hardness of bead welding layer is uniformity ,the hardness of bead welding layer layer was significantly higher than that of metal materials, it can meet the requirements to enhance its wear resistance.By a great deal of experiments and analysis ,the investigation results indicated that the increase of hardness in welding layer with the increase of welding current as well as temperature under the experimental conditions, at the same time, the microstructure of welding layer becomes fine.
