With the development of science and technology, The living radical polymerization methods become popular in polymer science. the structure and the molecular weight of polymer can be well controlled by the radical polymerization, Radical polymerization include the activity of ring-opening polymerization (ROP), nitrogen and oxygen free radical method (TEMPO), ring-opening metathesis polymerization(ROMP), reversible addition-fragmentation chain transfer polymerization(RAFT), atom transfer radical polymerization(ATRP) which is studied of the most active.This thesis focuses on the block copolymer which is synthesized by ATRP and magnetic nanocomposites. Firstly, the block copolymer is synthesized by ATRP, and then we synthesized copolymer composites, using block copolymer as the organic reagent.Chapter II of this thesis focuses on block copolymer which is synthesized by ATRP. First of all, we prepared polystyrene (PS) as the macro-initiator, then tert-butyl acrylate (tBA) was used as the second step monomers, last, the polystyrene-polyacrylic acid (PS-PAA) amphiphilic block copolymers was obtained by hydrolysis of the products. A series of Characterization the polystyrene-b polyacrylic acid block copolymers proved the success of the Synthesis.The reaction mechanism of ATRP is studied in the third chapter, we set polystyrene for an example, and studied on reaction temperature , time, reaction medium, and reaction ratio on the impact of polymers in detail, and we studied the purification methods of polymer, the results showed that molecular weight and polymer distribution index can be controlled by ATRP under laboratory conditions, so we give a new method for synthesizing polymer.The fourth chapter reaserch the composite material, we use the block copolymers as the organic phase, sol-gel magnetic nanoparticles as inorganic phase and tetrahydrofuran and N, N-dimethylformamide as the mixed solvents, through the self-assemble method to get organic / inorganic nano-magnetic composite material, a series of tests proved the successe of the synthesis of the composite material.
