| Slurry is a kind of solid-liquid disperse system with the dispersed particle diameter between coarse decentralized system and liquor. It is also a highly-dispersed multiphase ununiformity system. Because of both solid particle and liquid carrier in it, the slurry posses some new physical mechanism and characteristics. Many slurries are new-type functional materials, so the research on slurry has increasingly become an interesting hot subject in the field of material science. The size of solid particle and the size distribution parameter as well as the stability of dispersed system are important elements during the slurry production and application. Consequently the stability testing method and technology are essential aspects for slurry research.Since there are several kinds of slurry, our work team decided to choose Fe3O4 nanopartical magnetic fluid as the research subject to be investigated. Combined with electric and automatic control method, the proposed system for testing slurry stability, utilizes the changing rules of LC oscillator circuit frequency f according to the inductance L and capacitance C. At first we take the oxidation precipitation method induced by the weak external magnetic field to prepare Fe3O4 nano-particles. Then we use 0.5%~2% silence coupling agent KH560 to improve its encapsulation and 1%~4% surfactant Span80 to disperse the Fe3O4 nano-particles from magnetic fluid composed by 20# Engine Oil. At last we test the above Fe3O4 nanopartical magnetic fluid with the proposed system and obtain the stability results.The main results are displayed as follows:(1) An slurry stability testing system is proposed based on the changing rules of LC oscillator circuit frequency f according to the inductance L and capacitance C.(2)The proposed testing system is utilized to measure the stability of Fe3O4 nano-magnetic fluid, and the test results satisfy our expectation.(3)The additive combination including1.5%KH560+3%Span80 can achieve much more stable Fe3O4 nano-magnetic fluid than the combination of KH560 and Span80 with other density.In a word, the paper find the testing measurement for slurry stability based on the changing rules of LC oscillator circuit frequency f according to the inductance L and capacitance C. And the additive combination including1.5%KH560+3%Span80 can achieve respectively stable Fe3O4 nano-magnetic fluid. The experiment results validate that the method proposed in the paper can provide direction and guidance for future slurry stability evaluation. |
