| The membrane is usually made with kinds of polymers or inorganic ceramic. For the reasons of its materials properties and structure, these traditional membranes often encountered some problems in the treatment of high viscosity, high solid content of liquid systems. And metal membrane is to a certain extent overcome these problems and broaden the applications of membrane technology.The fabrication, characterization of metal membrane, and its module features are discussed here, together with metal membrane system, its operating conditions and application areas as well. From an engineering point of view, this paper focused on development & design problems with the instantiation of the treatment of erythromycin fermentation, to indicate how to apply metal membrane in industrial system process.Separation processes, such as with erythromycin fermentation, waste oil and PTA mother wastewater, are design with the dominant metal membrane product in the paper, and these separation cases suffered with serious problems in traditional methods. The metal membrane technology can simplify production process, increase the recovery of useful resources, and alleviate environmental burden so as to create significant economic and environmental benefits. The field erection of metal membrane systems for these three areas is finished with gathering technical information and demonstrating performance to the confirmation of commercial viability and utility of the membrane. the results of these applications also show that: in the treatment of high viscosity, high solid content liquid of industrial processes metal membrane have obvious advantages of high yield, more reliable and stable, the innovative use of metal membrane might optimize the existing process to produce real benefits for the relevant manufacturers. |
