Oil and gas gathering transportation is a mine operation. The origin is oil well, and the terminal is mine crude oil or long distance oil-gas transportation pipeline initial station or water-injection station. It is a continuous and systematic production process. It mainly includes the gas-liquid separation, crude oil dehydration, crude oil stability, natural gas purification, light hydrocarbon recovery, sewage disposal and the mine transportation of oil, gas and water, etc.Oil and gas gathering transportation possess the characters:many oilfield points, lines long, wide cover, as well as chemical refining enterprise, which is high temperature and high pressure, inflammable, explosive, process complex, pressure vessel concentrated, the production of strong continuity and bigger fire hazard,etc. During the production, malignancy accidents such as fire, explosion and personal injury will be happen if any link go wrong or misoperation. So, Aimed at the situation of Oil and gas gathering transportation in China, it is of far reaching importance that going ahead the hazard identification comprehensively and making major hazard identification and safety evaluation models.Took the oil and gas gathering transportation process of certain oilfield as the research object, the in-depth research and discussion was based on looking up a large number of literature and long-term practical investigation. Oil and gas gathering transportation process was divided scientifically through the comprehensive analysis of the risk factors and the application of the system Analytic Hierarchy Process. By the applications of security check list and fault tree analysis, the major hazard subsystem identification models was established, the safety evaluation index system was set up, the weight coefficients were decided and the weight calculation and consistency check were finished. The paper also used grey related analysis assessment method for the risk evaluation which was based on the comprehensive risk analysis and the established major hazard subsystem identification models. According to the evaluation results, the paper proposed the corresponding countermeasure and the improvement program of risk control.It turned out that the results obtained were in conformity with the actual production situation by using the theory of system safety and the theory which the paper used. It may provide valuable reference for the actual oilfield production. However, with the unceasing development of oil and gas transportation technology, many contents still need to revise and quantize how to embody in the hazard identification and safety assessment is still a big problem to study further.
