The chromate slag from industrial production of chromium is one of the best leading heavy industrial pollution in the world. In China, the pollution of chromium salt induction is always the first serious pollution. In current the mainly production of chromium salts is still the traditional roasting process, the disadvantage is that chromium extraction process is low, resulting in resources, energy waste and serious environmental pollution greatly. Due to the complexity of chromium slag system and large amount of slag in the traditional chromate process, it is difficult to treat in the engineering and economic field. The new chromate cleaner production technology proposed by Institute of Process Engineering, Chinese Academy of Sciences, have the high chromium recovery, low slag amount and the simple composition. Not only solve the problem of environmental pollution but also create conditions for the comprehensive utilization of chromium residue.This article discusses the extraction study of the valuable metal Mg, K in chromium slag, and preparing the corresponding production, which is the utilization of chromium residue. On the treatment of chromium residue, using the characteristics of its high iron content, it can be prepared by the desulfurization agent to iron production. The following major elements are:(1) Extract the magnesium in the chromium slag by the way of carbonation mentioned, examined the effect of the mainly factors to extraction of magnesium, in the final, it can be extract about 60% magnesium from the chromium slag, and prepared a light magnesium carbonate.(2)By comparing the acid slurry removal of potassium and calcium removal by conventional potassium, determine the most appropriate method of follow-up treatment of de potassium, and make optimal design experimental conditions of the method, discuss its response principle and the main factors. From the filtrate on further preparation of potassium sulfate into the Department of Fertilizers.(3) Preparing the desulfurization products with the chromium slag after the treatment of extraction of K, Mg. Investigate the mention magnesium, potassium mentioned processes on the sulfur capacity of desulfurization.(4) Explore the feasibility of raw materials as iron to the the chromium slag after the treatment of extraction(5) Design the process of resourceful treatment of chromium slag.
