With the development of science and technology, industrial production, transportation, and human activities in the area greatly increased, environmental noise has become a major pollution of the human social environment, noise control has become a important issue about high technology, environment and human coordinated development, recently, one of the main solution is to use porous sound-absorbing material.Although there are some deficiencies in porous sound-absorbing material, since its drawn range is wide, the manufacturing process is relatively simple, and with the successful development of some new porous materials, they have become the most widely used sound-absorbing material. Therefore, the study of sound absorption properties of porous materials has important practical significance in engineering applications and noise control.Acoustics of porous media is a very practical acoustic branch developed in recent years. Biot made sound propagation in fluid-saturated porous media theory in 1956, laid the theoretical basis of the acoustic branch. With the improvement about the Biot theory of sound in many aspects, this theory has become the most successful theory of porous media acoustics, and it has been widely used in acoustic sound exploration and other fields. At present the computer simulation has become an important method of scientific research. Based on the VA One software platform, the sound absorption properties of porous materials are analysed, and the melamine foam selected has been laid to the certain location of a high-speed craft, then the simulation analysis is applied.First of all, Foam module simulated six porous materials which are commonly used, the simulated results and measured values are found in good agreement; then a simple model was set up to analyze the affects to the absorption characteristics caused by the density, porosity, thickness and the back air layer of the melamine foam; Then based on a high-speed craft blueprint, we fixed the analysis parameters, imputed excitation source of the statistical energy model, established the high-speed ship SEA model, the SEA parameters of each cabin are gotten by solving the SEA model; Then analysed five compartments which require a higher noise level to identify the subsystem with high proportion input energy; In the cabin subsystem with high input energy, We installed double-sided outdoor melamine foam, while in the subsystem with low input energy, single-sided indoor melamine foam was installed, and we simulated the noise control using corresponding method, "Material 2" is selected as the optimal after comparison; Finally the simulation values with better noise reduction, simulation values without using sound-absorbing materials and real ship test values were analyzed. The result shows that the simulation analysis porous sound-absorbing material using the VA One software is feasible, and an optimal porous sound-absorbing material is found, which provides valuable reference to the selection of noise absorption material and the design of noise reduction in practical engineering in future.
