With the deep study on exploration progress in Hailar play, Budate Group and Xinganling Group become main targets of exploration and development in recent years. Budate reservoir with large thicknesses, sandstone with thin interbed and most parts of Xinganling Group have un-stressing shield, and in the process of operating, fractures is easy to extend on the heights. Low net pressure is and narrow fractures cannot obtain effective fracture widths for adding sand. Sand plug occur causing operation failure. In the process of operation, fractures height gradually increases, leading formed fracture lengths not to reach designed requirements. Designed fracture length needs increasing operation scales. Whether fracture heights can be effectively controlled is one of key factors to develop maximum incremental production potential for hydraulic fracturing and even to influence operation result. Thus, study on techniques controlling fractures height is significant.The pertinence of un-stressing shield sandy reservoir and reservoir fracturing measures of Budate and Xinganling Groups can be improved by study this paper so as to effectively control fractures vertical extending in height and improve success ratio and stimulation intensity. It not only plays a significant role in fracturing, but also plays a profound meaning in developing for this type of reservoir in Halar Basin in the future.
