CdS and ZnS are typical semiconductor compounds of groupâ…¡-â…£,which have band gaps with increasing temperature while the smaller,light-emitting properties, electrical conductivity wider range and excellent photoelectric conversion. When they are particle size than the exciton Bohr radius (6nm) hours, be able to show the more obvious quantum size effect, there will be absorption edge blue shift and fluorescence peaks. These excellent properties make it have a wide range of applications, such as used in light-emitting diodes, nonlinear optical devices, photocatalysis, photonics chemical batteries and solar cells and so on. However, due to a small surface area nano-particles, active large, easy to join, so its surface modification of nano-particles can be mixed metal ions or organic groups on its surface to connect to improve the stability of particles, adsorption, dispersion and compatibility properties. And functional features of organic materials, especially organic polymers often used as a surface modification reagents used to achieve the particle size and morphology of control and so on.There are many ways to prepare nano-particles and modify them. In this paper, ZnS and CdS nano-particles were prepared by liquid-phase deposition, using thioacetamide. And Their surface were modified by functional polythiophene derivatives (PTs), benzimidazole and PSS,to study the post-modified CdS and ZnS between organic-inorganic composite relative to the nature of the changes, such as Abs properties,FL and photocatalyticproperties.Nano ZnS, CdS and Inorganic/organic compounds formed by their mentioned here, were modified with organisms, and characterized by infrared spectroscopy (IR), X-ray powder diffraction (XRD), thermal field emission environmental scanning electron microscopy (SEM), thermal analysis (TG-DSC), UV-visible spectrophotometer (UV-Vis), Fluorescence performance(FL)and photocatalytic properties of organic and other means of surface modification of nano-CdS and ZnS crystals were characterized.
