| The application of Mold CAD can greatly improve the efficiency of mold design and save a lot of manpower and resources. But the mold design module of general CAD software only provide a common template and the basic device and effective help for designer's design, so that these moulds has a long way to meet the requirements of enterprises.Injection Mold CAD system is an intelligent software based on the platform of SolidWorks. The Stripping system is consist of four function modules, including selecting Stripping means, calculating parts dimension size, modeling the stripping agencies, generating the two-dimensional drawings of vital parts. It aims at achieving intelligent selection of Stripping means for general plastic products, auto-generation of the model of relative parts and components, even the their drawings, so that more professional knowledge and recommendations can be provided for the mold designers.First of all, the design knowledge of Stripping system are researched, then object-oriented technology, database technology, and fuzzy theory are used comprehensively in expressing and storing the empirical knowledge of experts. The locations of ejectors is ensured after features identification by the FeatureWorks. And force acted on Stripping system is analyzed, so that the most appropriated Stripping means can be obtained by optimizing the quantity and size of mechanism.In the system, the formulas for calculating the size of parts are translated into the codes, and packaged into the module. Also, the parameters of plastics in the manuals, which needed in the calculation, are stored in database. Just entering the wall thickness, ribs, stripping slope and other related information, the system can promptly calculate the diameter ejector or push plate thickness. The parameters of the components, reset parts and components-oriented are stored in the database.The standard components and common parts are modeling on the platform of SolidWorks with VB6.0, and make up of them together into a assemble, and also the engeneering drawings of main parts are generated automatically. In this paper, a knowledge-based injection mold stripping module of intelligent design system has been developed on the platform of SolidWorks, using VB and COM technology. The operations of the software process and its characteristics are demonstrated by introducing the applications of typical examples. |
