Abstract/Summary:
The electrochemical analysis with high sensitivity, selectivity and simple instrumentation was widely used in life science and food analysis. However, how to create a high-sensitivity response of electrochemical sensor is becoming a hot topic. In this paper, we studied the application of multi-walled carbon nanotubes/Nafion (MWCNT/Nafion) film modified electrodes in drug and food testing. We successfully applied in the detection of caffeine in drug and cola by the MWCNT/Nafion film modified electrodes, and then explored the feasibility of improving high sensitive MWCNT/Nafion film modified screen-printed cut microelectrodes. In the first part, the electrochemical behavior of caffeine at a glassy carbon electrode and modified electrode was studied by cyclic voltammetry, differential pulse voltammetry and other modern electrochemical technology. A rapid and sensitive detecting method for caffeine had firstly been established. In the second part, the screen-printed electrodes were producted by using the screen printing technology, which cut to form microelectrode. Next, the microelectrodes were modified by carboxylated MWCNT and Nafion. The high-sensitivity response of MWCNT/Nafion film modified screen-printed cut microelectrodes was obtained at first.
