In Ramsar Convention:'Wetlands are areas of marsh, fen, peat land or water, whether natural or artificial, permanent or temporary, with water that is static or flowing, fresh, brackish or salt, including areas of marine water the depth of which at low tide does not exceed six meters'. Wetland, as the'Earth Kidney', is closely linked to the survival, multiplying and development, which supplies various sources for human's production and life and has great environmental functions and benefits, is one of the most biology variety bio-sights in the nature and one of the most survival environment of human beings, and has non-replaced function, esp. for flood-control, flowing-modulation, floodwater storage and pollution control, climate regulation, soil erodibility control, silt promotion and land build, pollutants purification, etc. It is continually concerned by the whole world for its great bio-function, rich natural sources under the conditions of environment destroy and sources lack. The main reason of Wetland loss by over-exploitation is being neglected of its great ecosystem value. Therefore, the evaluation of Wetland ecosystem value is the important proof for Wetland resources protection and sustainable use. Taking the typical peat-bog at Changbai Mountain of Northeast China as an example, the article evaluates and analyzes its ecosystem value based on the Energy Theory and Method. Regarding energy as the main dimension and substance base of nature ecosystem as the bio-capital, as well as according to the build form and flow process of capital, there are 3 parts—inflow capital, fixed capital and material outflow. The result are as follows: the inflow is 1.59*1017 sej, and the value is about US$ 3,530; the fixed is 1.57*1020 sej, and the value is about US$ 29,620,000 (peat-bog is 99.18%); the annual outflow is 3.04*1017 sej, and the value is US$ 5,730. The above shows the peat-bog is the most important part and the base of different function courses of the wetland, which shall be specially protected for its non-updating and irreplaceability.
