This paper uses the macrocycle ligand with phenol groups 11,23-dimethyl-3,7,15,19-tetraazatricyclo-[19.3.1.19,13]tetracosa-1(24),-9(25),10,12,21,23-hexaene-25,26-diol (H2L) as research object, and synthesize one kind of aza-crown ether ligand containing acetate pendant groups (H6L') (see below). We focus on studying the synthesis, structures and properties of the symmetrical tetranuclear complexes of the armed macrocycle ligand. We obtain eight new complexes generating from the two aza-crown ether ligands. The compounds were characterized by IR, elemental analysis, X-ray single-crystal diffraction and XRPD.1. Three new Cu(II) complexes generating from aza-crown ether ligand H2L, 2,3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid and oxalic acid were synthesized: [Cu12L4(L1)8]?13H2O?2DMF (1), [Cu3L(L2)2]?2DMF (2), and [Cu6L2(L2)4]?5.75H2O?DMF (3), where H2L1 = 2,3-pyridinedicarboxylic acid, H2L2 = oxalic acid. Their crystal structures were investigated in detail.2. Five new Co(II) complexes have been constructed based on organic-acid ligands and aza-crown ether ligand with acetate pendant arms H6L': [Co4L'(L2)(H2O)2]?H2O (4), [Co8L'2(L3)2(H2O)6]?H2O (5), [Co4L'(L4)(H2O)4]?H2O (6), [Co2L'0.5(L5)0.5(H2O)]?0.7H2O (7), [Co4L'(Ac)2(H2O)4 ] (8), where H2L2 = oxalic acid, H2L3 = 1,3-benzenedicarboxylic acid, H2L4 = maleic acid, H2L5 = 1,6-hexanedioic acid. Their crystal structures and teamperatur-controlled syntheses were investigated.
