As a preliminary study of .To enhance wear and tear property of Al-Mn alloy, this paper take swear and tear test on Al-Mn alloy under dry sliding.This paper mainly study the key factors which have great influence on wear and tear property of Al-Mn alloy, such as weight loss, wear rate and wear coefficient. The paper analysed microstructure, casting hardness and worn surface of Al-Mn alloy and discussed predominate wear mechanism.The result shows that the weight loss and wear rate are lower than pure aluminum in dry wear conditions and decrease with the content of Mn increase. The result also shows that the wear coefficient of is Al-Mn alloy no longer changing when the outer loading decreased to wear and tear at plastic contact. The wear mechanism of Al-Mn alloy is abrasive wear at low loading. The wear mechanism has changed into adhesive wear.With the further study of wear and tear property of Al-Mn alloy, We believe that further study will Al2O3 particle reinforced aluminum-manganese alloy wear properties of composite materials basis for the study. And in the near future will be aluminum-manganese alloy has very good prospects for development. |
