α-Arbutin is emerging, natural and activity skin whitening agents. It is non-irritating, non-irritability and high compatibility. It has better whitening effect and security thanβ-Arbutin. This essay explore biosynthesis ofα-Arbutin with Xanthomona maltophilia BT-112, and the product purified. It has some merits aboutα-Arbutin of Biosynthesis with Xanthomona maltophilia BT-112. For example, it has simple rough material; reactionary condition is eary to control; the time of reaction is short; the pureness ofα-Arbutin is high; it did not produce toxic organic solvent, and so on. So it has industrialization significance. This paper systematically expounded Xanthomonas Mutation screening process, Fermentation and purification products. By Xanthomonas Mutation screening activity eventually obtained a high specificity and high stability of the genetic traits of strains BT112. Through the optimization of fermentation conditions to determine the best formula for the medium:sucrose 50g, peptone 10g, beef extract 5g. The best train conditions:culture medium in 250ml flask in 50ml, in 30℃,180r·min/1 shaker culture 48h, added reactants hydroquinone and sucrose for 72 hours reaction; fermentation broth to separation of macroporous resin purified by the choice of a variety of resin, the final choice of a strong adsorption, column efficiency, long life resin AB-8, the optimum conditions for separation and purification:Adsorption force of 10g/100g resin, the concentration 10g/l, flow rate 1BV/h, eluent concentration 30% alcohol solution, elution flow rate was 1BV/h, elution volume 3BV; eluate was concentrated crystal, is obtained by the purity more than 99% and the whole process a yield of 85%.
