At present, the development in SaZhong Oilfield has entered into its late production period of high watercut, and with further development, it turns more and more difficult for developing strata series are divided more and more finely and well numbers greatly increase. The reservoir development objectives management, an important part of reservoir management, has turned into a basic kind of management pattern to realize efficient development of the oilfield.The development objectives management of reservoir engineering system adopts systematic, comprehensive and integrated views and approaches to make the analysis, demonstration and evaluation on oilfield development measures from different levels and multiple angles, and the developing measures are combined with micro and macro results of current management methods to comprehensively evaluate if the development project for water or polymer injection and its relative management measures are reasonable.The paper introduces the division principle of assessment unit for reservoir development objective management, which summarizes developing regularities of various kinds of the reservoirs at different developing stages so as to set up the objective management system and assessment criteria, suitable for different assessment units of all kinds of the reservoirs, and it also presents assessment methods for different developing units, which realizes scientific management in terms of the development objective of reservoir engineering system.Based on the studies above mentioned, the assessment units used for development objective management are determined, and with analysis and similar inference, the objective and subjective characteristics of the indexes can be described. The evaluation on development results can be optimized by bias coefficient. The method has been used to evaluate the developing indexes of different production regions, developing blocks and strata in 2009, respectively, and the evaluation results are almost identical with the results obtained from the experts, which indicates that the management method can offer quantitative evaluation basis for the development in different production regions, developing blocks and strata series.
