Crude oil demulsification is very important on the process of mining, gathering and processing .Because crude oil emulsion contains water with soluble impurities, which will increase the load of pump, pipeline and storage tank , causing the metal surface corrosion and scaling; oil in discharged water can also cause environmental pollution and waste of oil. Thus, not only from an economic point of view - to facilitate the sale and processing of oil, but also from the environmental point of view - discharging of water does not affect the re-use of industrial and agricultural production, it is required to dehydrate the crude oil emulsion breaking and degreasing of sewage. With the development of oil field development, oil water content gradually increased, dehydration of crude oil emulsion breaking issues are increasingly important. In the present study, the emulsified type of produced liquid of heavy oil and composition and the type of oil were studied , and then properties of all kinds of emulsion breaker were assessed. Single dose screening was carried out to select effective demulsifier, and complex formulation was performed in emulsion breakers of pure separated water and that of high dehydration ability. As a result, formulation ZLYY was asertained and emulsion breaking conditions were optimized.Applications for the complex with the ZLYY demulsifier heavy oil from Liaohe Oilfield reached high demulsification speed, oil-water interface of homogeneous and stable operation. In laboratory tests, the demulsifier dosage is 300mg/L, with dehydration temperature conditions of 80℃, moisture content of prolapse oil within 48 hours≤2.0%, oil content of prolapse effluent≤1000mg / L.
