This thesis is concerned with the design and synthesis of OPEs molecular wires and functional molecules containing benzofuranyl groups.Firstly, we summarized the material-oriented organic compounds and their synthetic method, which focuses on organic compounds oriented to molecular electronics, optical materials and their synthetic method.In chapter 2, six OPEs molecular wires containing redox benzoquinone group with different length were designed:Quinones are frequently found in nature as electron acceptors and can be easily reduced and reoxidized, thus making them ideal for study in molecular electronic devices. The synthetic key step involved the Sonogashira reaction to construct the backbone of the molecules using the convergent strategy. Starting from the TBS protected hydroquinone, the alkyne part was synthesized through iodination, Sonogashira reaction and selective desilylation by treated with AgNO3. After the completion of construction of molecular skeleton, the first two target hydroquinones were accomplished by desilylation with TBAF and CH3COOH. Another two target hydroquinones were accomplished by deprotcetion with concentrated sulfuric acid. The electrochemical properties of one of the target molecules are studied, and the test results are currently analyzed and interpreted. Now the work is still continuing.In chapter 3, we describe the design and synthesis of novel shaped moleucles containing four benzofuranyl groups or six benzofuranyl groups. The key step involved the Sonogashira reaction to construct the backbone of the molecules. Benzofuran ring can be closed under alkaline conditions. Some of the design of the target molecules have been completed. We also get some unexpected results. These target molecules and unexpected received molecules have been carried out basic optical studies (UV, fluorescence, fluorescence quantum yield), currently under analysis and interpretation of test results.
