Garbage is resources which in the wrong time and place, currently, traditional domestic waste landfill is only as a final disposal method in China, the whole process management and utilization of waste are not brought to the forefront. Because of the shortcomings of traditional landfill, sustainable solid waste landfill system in Chengdu is established based on the basis of the investigation of treatment of rubbish disposal in Chengdu City and combine with sustainable development concept put forward by foreign ideas landfill, such as mode 1(burn all waste disposal+slag+landfill) and mode 2(recycle part of the mineralized waste+sanitary landfills+exploitation and utilization of mineralization waste+relandfill waste), they extend the traditional life of the landfill in time and space and achieve sustainable development. Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), as a value tool for environmental management, can give quantitative analysis for the current environment of conflict. The role of life cycle assessment of household garbage is to reduce the environmental impact of the whole process of waste generation to final disposal.In choosing municipal domestic waste programme on sustainable landfill in Chengdu, solid waste landfill life cycle assessment system for sustainable is built based on traditional life cycle assessment method and AHP. The evaluation system is multi-factor evaluation model which integrate environmental sustainability, economic affordability and technical feasibility. Two models of sustainable environmental impact of landfill weight can be obtained by life cycle assessment model. In evaluation of single-factor level, environmental benefits score of mode 1 is 0.24, mode 2 is 0.46; Economic benefits of mode 1 is 0.317, mode 2 is 0.683; Technical performance of mode 1 is 0.563, mode 2 is 0.437. In evaluation of overall benefit, environmental benefits is assessed, the weight of mode 1 is 0.294, and mode 2 is 0.707; In evaluation of economic benefits, the weight of mode 1 is 0.323, and mode 2 is 0.678 that is higher; In evaluation of technical performance, the weight of mode 1 is 0.548, and mode 2 is 0.453. So, in the prerequisite conditions of environmental protection and economic efficiency, mode 2 of sustainable landfill should be priority options for solid waste treatment in Chengdu.
