Hydrotalcite-like compounds (HTlcs), known as a class of anionic clays or layered double hydroxides (LDHs). They have high chemical versatility associated with a tunable layer composition and anionic exchange capacity. Different kinds of anions can incorporated in the layer space. The Mg/Al mixed oxides obtained from LDHs by calcinations have a large space area and they can recover to the original layered structures when Mg(Al)O immersed in water. The property was called "memory effect". Due to the special properties of LDHs, they are widely used in the fields of basic supports, catalysts and function materials.Metal phthalocyanines are a class of macrocyclic complexes. Their structure is similar to that of porphyrin. Their catalytic properties are some like enzyme. Their application in the field of catalytic oxidation has drawn more and more attention.Oxidation of 4-nitrotoluene-2-sulfonic acid (NTS) to 4,4'-dinitrostilbene-2,2'-disulfonic acids (DNS) was catalyzed by C.I. Direct Blue 199 supported on Mg/Al hydrotalcite-like compounds (DB199/LDHs). DB199/LDHs was a bifunctional catalyst which possesses both redox and basic sites. It has the advantage of easy to recycle and no heavy metal pollution. XRD, FT-IR, TG, and BET surface area were used to characterize these materials. In order to study the catalytic performance, a series of experiments for the catalytic oxidation of NTS to DNS were carried out with varying different parameters. The result showed that using this catalyst the conversion of NTS can reach to 97.0% and the yield of DNS can reach to 83.1%. The recycling experiment implied that the catalyst was stable and can be reused.Different kinds of methods were used to prepare Cobalt(II)/Copper(Ⅱ) phthalccyanine tetrasulfonate-intercalated layered double hydroxides (CoPcTs-LDHs/CuPcTs-LDHs). The analysis of XRD and IR showed that CoPcTs/CuPcTs were aligned perpendicular to the clay layers. The oxidative desulfurization used O2 catalyzed by CoPcTs-LDHs was studied. dibenzothiophene (DBT) was used as stimulated sulfide. The results showed that CoPcTs-LDHs had good catalytic activity for the oxidation of DBT. The conversion of DBT can reach to 96.8% under the condition of 120℃and 0.1 MPa pressure for 2 h.
