In recent years, with the extend of pipeline and the damage by natural and artificial causes, for example corrosion and abrasion, pipeline accidents happened frequently. Apart from energy wasting and economic loss, pipeline leak causes environmental pollution, because substance in pipeline is unsafe and poisonous.Aiming at the problems of false alarm based on negative pressure wave detection system, the flow real-time monitoring system is added; Combined wavelet transform with chaos theory which can achieve weak signal detection, the technology of improving detection accuracy are studied in this article, and the system of detection is designed.At the beginning of this article, the basic methods of negative pressure wave and flow detection system is presented. The emphasis is the influence factor of propagation velocity, and the modified method of location formula.Secondly, according to the problem of the noisy which doped in the negative pressure wave signal, this paper studies on the pressure signal detection method further. Using singularity detection theory based on wavelet transform, the location of singularity point can be obtained, and the boundary extension theory was introduced into the signal processing.Then, the basic theory of ultrasonic gas flow-meter used in natural gas flow detection is studied. Because the detected ultrasonic signal is very weak, chaos theory is introduced in the weak ultrasonic signal detection.Finally, the software of leakage detection system of natural gas pipeline is designed based on virtual instrument technology. The pipeline operation status is shown on the computer display, and advanced database technology to read and write the detected data are adopted. It has better real-time and man-machine interaction.
