In recent years, the plate mill has been widely used and developed in the world, but with the development of plate, the volume and weight of plate mill production have become bigger and bigger, which cause great problems for process, manufacture and transportation. This article revolves this issue, under the premise of the stiffness and strength of the rolling-mill housing, the traditional closed rolling-mill housing has been designed into the sectional rolling-mill housing, which has solved the difficult problem of processing, manufacturing and transportation. So this brings another space for rolling-mill housing development.Based on a steel company's parameters of the 4300 plate rolling-mill of the sectional housing, every part entity model of the rolling-mill housing is established by the Pro/E software, and imported into ANSYS software after assembled. Then start finite element analysis on rolling-mill housing, and find the position of stress dangerous point; By controlling the size of screw rod pretension, control the value of the maximum equivalent stress and rolling-mill deformation, and on the basis, find regulation that the preload affects on maximum equivalent stress and rolling-mill deformation, and get the best range of preload. At the same time, simulate the integral rolling-mill housing. Finally, carry out the dynamics modal analysis of the rolling-mill housing, calculate the natural frequency and corresponding mode shape of the given boundary conditions for the rolling-mill housing and analysis modal in detail for rolling-mill housing to avoid the resonance effect generated by the rolling-mill housing when normal work, and provide a theoretical basis for reliability design.Through analysis, conclude that: The sectional rolling-mill housing is similar to the integral rolling-mill housing in strength and stiffness, and solve the problems of processing, manufacturing and transportation are solved. Through the modal analysis and the harmonic response analysis, determine the various-order natural frequency and corresponding mode, and provide a theoretical basis for avoiding rolling-mill housing resonance and rolling-mill housing dynamic design.
