is a new Refractory raw materials, but its high production costs limit its application in industry. The paper researched to use quartz powder, ore fines, fly ash and ilmenite powder through the carbothermal reduction under the atmosphere of N2 to prepare the Fe-Si3N4, Fe-Sialon and Fe-Si3N4/TiN composites. And then we add the raw materials with the optimized parameter which obtained from our work to anhydrous Taphole mix. Respectively, effects of the amount of these raw materials on the properties of anhydrous Taphole mix was also studied in this paper.Through the way of carbothermic reduction and nitridation, I make a conclusion that given the temperature of 1450℃, if we choose coke purity 50% excessive and keep thermal insulation 3h, we can obtain the material of Fe-Si3N4 after doing experiment on the compound material of Fe- Si3N4 made by quartz powder, ore fines, coke powder and the effects on the product phase of the samples given the different granularity, carbon contents and resultant temperature of the materials. Then add the obtained Fe-Si3N4 materials into the Taphole mix in the amount of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% to observe the effect that the former have on the latter. At 1400℃, the addition of 10% of Fe-Si3N4 makes the biggest apparent porosity and the minimum bulk density, the addition of 15% of Fe-Si3N4 Taphole mix has the maximum Compressive strength. While an experiment, given the temperature of 1520℃and thermal insulation 3h, showed that the addition of different amount of self-made Fe-Si3N4 have limited effect on the slag-resistance of Taphole mix.Through the way of carbothermic reduction and nitridation, I make a conclusion that given the temperature of 1450℃, if we choose the coke purity 50% excessive and thermal insulation 3h , we can obtain the material of Fe-Sialon after doing experiment on the compound material of Fe-Sialon made by Datong fly ash,ore fines, coke powder and the effects on the product phase of the samples given the different granularity, carbon contents and resultant temperature of the materials. Then add the obtained Fe-Sialon materials into the Taphole mix in the amount of 0%, 5%, 10%, 15% and 20% to observe the effect that the former have on the latter. At 1400℃, the sample of Taphole mix in the addition of 5% of Fe-Sialon has the minimum bulk density and has the maximum apparent porosity, the sample of Taphole mix in the addition of 15% of Fe-Sialon has the maximum Compressive strength. The slag resistance experiment, given the temperature of 1520℃and thermal insulation 3h, indicates that the addition of different amount of self-made Fe-Si3N4 have limited effect on the slag-resistance of Taphole mix.Through the way of carbothermic reduction and nitridation, I make a conclusion that given the temperature of 1450℃, if we choose the coke purity 50% excessive and thermal insulation 3h , we can obtain the compound material of Fe-Si3N4 and TiN after doing experiment on the compound material of Fe-Si3N4 and TiN made by quartz powder, ilmenite powde, coke powder and the effects on the product phase of the samples given the different granularity, carbon contents and resultant temperature of the materials. The Taphole mix has the maximum apparent porosity at the addition of 20%. As to Compressive strength, except for sample the addition of 0%, the Compressive strength of the Taphole mix has the maximum Compressive strength at the addition of 5%.The slag resistance experiment, given the temperature of 1520℃and the thermal insulation 3h, indicates that the addition of different amount of compound materials of Fe-Si3N4 and TiN have limited effect on the slag-resistance of Taphole mix.
