Resent years,application of the phase change materials(PCM) in textiles as the intelligent temperature-control fabrics was interested widely.The micro-capsulation of PCM is an important method.In this thesis,a micro-capsule of phase change materials(MCPCMs) was prepared by interfacial polymerization.The properties of the MCPCMs and its application of the MCPCMs to cotton fabrics were investigated.The poly(styrene(St)-co-maleic anhydride(Ma))(SMA) was synthesized by solution polymerization.Then the intrinsic viscosities of SMA were measured,and the effect of the molar ratio(St/Ma) on SMA intrinsic viscosity was investigated.The results showed that the content of MAn(FMAn) in the SMA increased with the Ma monomer increased,but the increasing trends slowly.And the content of Ma in SMA was always less than 40%.All of the intrinsic viscosity of SMA was more than 1.7dL/g.The hydrolysated poly(St-co-Ma) SMH was used as emulsifier in the preparation of MCPCMs.The results showed when FMAn increased from 26%to 36% in SMA,the volume-average particle size decreased slowly,and the FMAn of the SMA used as emulsifier in the thesis was 33.7%.MCPCMs were prepared using the paraffin wax as the core,the tetraethylene-pentamine as the water-soluble monomers,the toluene-2,4-diisocyanate(TDI) as the oil-soluble monomers,the hydrolysated poly(St-co-Ma)(SMH) as the emulsifier,by interfacial polymerization in the ultrasonic medium.The orthogonal experiments were arranged on the factors including the time of ultrasonic,mass ratio between core and wall,etc,and the prime conditions were come out,as follows,the time of ultrasonic was 2h,the mass ratio between core and wall was 4:1,the concentration of SMH was 5g/L,the time of reaction was 2h,and the temperature was 70℃.The number-average particle size(Dn) and volume-average particle size(Dv) were measured by Laser Particle Size Analyzer.The results showed the Dn of the MCPCM was always about 1μm,the Dv of MCPCMs prepared by ultrasonic was about 4μm,and volume-average particle size of MCPCMs prepared without ultrasonic was about 24μm.The PDI(Dv/Dn) of MCPCMs was lower in ultrasonic medium.The results of optical microscope(OM) and SEM also showed the particle size too.The DSC results showed the fusion heat was 95.64J/g and the melting area was 30-37℃.The TG results showed the rupture temperature of MCPCMs was 70℃higher than the pure phase change materials,indicating the heat-resistant property of the phase change materials was enhanced after microencapsulation.The MCPCMs were attached to cotton fabrics by coating method,and intellectual temperature-control property and other properties were compared between blank and finished cotton fabric.The results showed the finished cotton fabric existed obvious inflexions on the curves of the heating and cooling process,indicating the intellectual temperature-control function worked.The whiteness,gas permeability, breaking resistance and tearing resistance were analyzed between blank and finished cotton fabric.The results showed that above-mentioned properties just changed a little and the wearability was not much affected.
