This paper was financially supported by Hebei province Natural Science Foundation project, which was named"The study of new type high efficiency wet incorporate instrument of electrostatic precipitator,desulfurization and denitrogenation". To improve its efficiency and structure, the new type of wet rolling plate electrostatic precipitator laboratory model and recently prevailing CFD software Fluent 6.2.16 were combined during the study, which simulated and computed the removal efficiency of dust.Firstly, the operational principle of electrostatic precipitator and major factors affecting removal efficiency of dust and desulfurization were expatiated in this paper, its technology development history was also introduced. In order to analyzing these factors, this paper started with experiment and finally got how these factors affect the removal efficiency of dust.Secondly, this paper applied software Fluent to simulate interior fluid field,electric field,space charge density distribution and particle trajectory, and in the end returned accordance of the results of numerical simulation and experiments. Through changing the parameter of frame,initial electric potential and fluid starting condition, this paper got different electric field,charge density distribution and the movement of particles. These outcomes provide a standard selection of pole matching and scantling of structure.At last, the simplified N-S model was built which was used for calculating the parameter of the horn of electrostatic precipitator in the paper. as solving the N-S model was very difficult and no better method recently, and this model gave a direct promote affect of removal efficiency of dust for advancing evenness of fluid. this simplified model applied credible criterion for the designing of the horn, and pushed the development of electrostatic precipitator.The technology of computer was used at fast speed as platform in this paper, the field of fluid was simulated by dint of software Fluent. The advancement of numerical model and degree of precision had high value to the future deep study of electrostatic precipitator.
