The dentures made by the traditional less advanced denture reparation technology are not beautiful, and need to be repaired once and again because of its low precision. It caused a great inconvenience to the sufferers.An unprecedented change has taken place in the modern manufacturing industry because of the application of the CAD/CAM technology. It was successfully introduced to the denture reparation industry by the oral reparation equipment manufacturer abroad, which improved the efficiency and precision of dentures manufacture. So, in light of the national conditions, it is necessary to design a set of denture reparation equipment with proprietary intellectual property rights, high technology and high price-performance ratio. On the basis of this, a set of Six Axes denture reparation system has been designed. The main content of the paper is as follows:1. By analyzing the structure of some advanced Denture carving machine abroad, a novel Six Axes Denture carving machine has been designed on the basis of the Five Axes Denture carving machine designed in an earlier time. It has two tools which were placed symmetrically and has many merits, such as small volume, high machining precision and high processing efficiency, etc.2. An open NC system based on IPC and UMAC has been designed. The IPC is the upper computer which controls the UMAC, the lower computer, through the Man-machine interaction interface. The IPC communicates with the UMAC by the Ethernet.3. The algorithm about the Tool Path plan and how to get the CL point data has been studied. A set of equidistant cylindrical surfaces have been used to intersect with the denture STL model to get the intersecting line as the Tool Path, which makes the tools interference avoided and the processing efficiency improved. The work of denture STL model data storing, screening and sorting have been finished by using VC++ and Oracle database, and the CL point data have been quickly extracted.
