The frog is the key parts of the turnout, the material is the ZGMn13 High Manganese Steel, a kind of typical material which is difficult to cut .The selection of cutting parameters is by experience in the cut of the High Manganese Steel frog now, the valves of the cutting parameters is unreasonable in this method, it is the important reason which lead to wear and damage of the tool, low life and low efficiency.This paper has a systematic research for the cutting parameters optimization in the cut of High Manganese Steel. It analysis and summary the machinability of High Manganese Steel, tool material and geometric angle, cutting force, cutting temperature at first , it laid a foundation for the tool life test and cutting parameters optimization.Base on analysis the principle of orthogonal test, get the tool life empirical formula of the milling the High Manganese Steel by use of multi-factors orthogonal experiment design, study the influence degree for the tool life such as spindle speed, feed rate, cutting depth, cutting width, gives the range of cutting parameters in milling the High Manganese Steel, having a point estimation and interval estimation of the tool life distributed parameter.The multi-objective and multi-restrictions mathematical model of milling the High Manganese Steel is according with practical production, taking the cutting speed and feed per tooth as the optimization variables, taking the maximum productivity and minimum production cost as the objective function, comprehensive consideration the constraint such as the machine tool,tool,work piece . According to mathematical model of milling the High Manganese Steel, which is nonlinear and non-convexity, solve the model by the Genetic Algorithm, which simulates biological evolution, seeking the optimized parameters at last.Create the optimization of cutting quantity optimization program, with friendly interface by the MATLAB, it can process many selections for the optimization objective and input parameters, visualized the optimization results. Milling parameters after optimization can reduces the production cost, increase the production efficiency, the mathematical model of milling the High Manganese Steel and the Genetic Algorithm in this paper have practical in production, make the theoretical basis and application guidance for milling High Manganese Steel.
