There is a huge amount of middle and small size boiler and industry kiln in China. Although the pollution from point source is not so serious, the pollutant total amount is huge. Using calcium-based desulfurization in the small-size boiler which is the same as large-sized boiler will bring out many problems, therefore, it is difficult to reach the discharge standard. Development of desulfurization technology for small boiler becomes a important topic in the filed of emission reduction, which will make SO2 point source could reach discharge standard.Base on the problems coming from traditional calcium-based desulfurization such as fouling corrosion, complicated process and equipment, second pollution of desulfurization residue, this paper put forward a new desulfurization technique using H2O2 solution as desulfurizer, and multitubular cocurrent film-falling tower as reactor. Utilizing high efficiency mass-transfer of falling film and high oxidation ability of H2O2, the method suitable for middle and small size boiler is established which has the advantages of simplicity, high efficiency, no second pollution and SO2 resource recovery. By construction of small-size falling film desulfurization experimental tower, this paper researches on all parameters which impact on desulfurization process. On the premise of sufficient desulfurization efficiency and suitable costs, the best experiment condition is decided as following: liquid-gas ratio is 15 L/m3, inlet SO2 concentration is 1000 ppm, adsorption H2O2 is 1 mol/L.This will lead to the desulfurization rate around 86 %.This paper derive correlation equation of mass-transfer in falling film tube by experimental data, and take the gas disturbance and falling film fluctuation influence to mass-transfer into account. Experimental data is identical with theoral result. It is proved that the reaction between SO2 and H2O2 is fast reaction which verify the feasibility of applying falling film reactor into flue gas desulfurization.Applying falling Film reactor in desulfurization can make SO2 be converted into valuable H2SO4 solution which realize resource recovery to eliminate second-pollution from sulphur residue. Compared with desulfurization, this method has advantages of simplified equipment, decreased occupied area, less maintenance work and more stable operation. Therefore, this method is very important to decrease huge amount of SO2 pollution and has a broad application prospect.
