Coal is the foundamental energy of our nation, it accounts for 75% of primary energy and plays the leading role in domestic energy consumption. Half of the state owned coal mines have coal spontaneous combustion crisis. As development of modern technology and deeper research on coal spontaneous combustion,every kinds of coal fire prevention and extinguishment measures develops. Retarder is one of widely applied way sin coal mine fire prevention and extinguishing and performs well.Based on analysis to current mechanism of coal spontaneous combustion and fire prevention and extinguishment techniques, adopting temperature programming experiment and gas chromatography, taking soft coal of Dongshan and anthracite of Furong mine as experimental samples, inhibitory performance to coal spontaneous combustion of many kinds of retarders are analyzed, including NH4H2PO4,MgCl, NH4HCO3. Ultimate analysis and componential analysis are carried out firstly and their qualities and physical characters are understood, then the two kinds of coal samples under different retarder atmospheres are temperature programmed in temperature programming experiment system, spontaneous combustion characteristic parameters such as CO generating rates and O2 consumption rates under different temperatures are investigated, the results provide references for experimental analysis to inhibitory performance of retarders to coal. At last, the coal samples are respectively temperature programmed under atmosphere of different retarders and different concentration of same kind of retarder, analyzed the comparision, the retarders'inhibitory performance to different coal samples are analyzed , the inhibitory effects and laws of different retarders with different concentrations to coal spontaneous combustion process are figured out.Research of this paper provides relevant fundamental data for further study on retardar coal mine fire prevention and extinguishment mechanism and provides theoretical reference for development and application of retardar fire prevention and extinguishment technology.
